Bright Blue was set up in 2003 and is based near Cambridge. Previously Simon was PR director and MD for the Cambridge and Dutch offices of ZEST where he built and led teams for the agency's two largest European PR accounts: Philips Semiconductors and Philips Medical Systems. Under his leadership the agency secured two PR Week awards marking its phenomenal growth, and PRCA quality accreditation for its approach. He has also been UK corporate and investor relations manager at Xenova, the emerging biopharmaceutical company. Simon holds a life sciences PhD and is a long-standing member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. In addition, he sits on the regional board for the institute and on their 'best practice' awards judging panel. Bright Blue is a lean operation but assembles teams of independent experts or support functions to meet client needs. During the day the only other 'person' regularly in the office is the dog. She can't write, sleeps a lot and doesn't respond to the phone ringing but she looks good to have around!
